Sheep Farm:: Blue Bell, PA

Dear friends of mine live on a farm. Their landlords own a beautiful home that sits back from the road in this gorgeous part of Blue Bell, PA...and they raise sheep. It's something quite awe-inspiring to see - tiny lambs that grow into sheep, much like watching any small animal grow. My friends are moving to a nearby town in a few weeks, so their days on the farm are numbered. A few weeks ago, I went over for what is likely to be my last trip to the sheep farm. My friends have loved living on the farm. We talk about the 'quaint' life and how much fun it is to walk outside and be greeted by the sheep as they leave for work, or to be a small part of the process when the lambs are birthed.

I've previously posted pictures of sheep from a farm in Leyden, MA - a farm that I wish were closer so I could frequent it. I'd love interacting more with Kristin, and of course seeing the ebb and flow of a farm with numerous farm animals. The beautiful mountains that are its backdrop are most inviting as well!

I digress.

Take a look at some of these pictures from the sheep farm in PA.....

Dr. Gupta:: Impacting India

I remember first hearing about Dr. Gupta after my friend went and spoke in India this past summer. She returned and talked about the work being done in India. Dr. Gupta came to the US about two weeks ago and is traveling around meeting people and sharing his vision. One of his stops was to meet some people at Cairn University. I had the opportunity to meet him and take his picture.

Dr. Gupta is the president and director of Hindustan Bible Institute and College in Chennai, India. They train and mobilize people to minister to the people of India.

It was a pleasure to meet Dr. Gupta; I hope one day to travel to his beautiful country and meet his people.

One Spring Evening

It's the end of another work week. Spring is in full bloom. It's nice enough to go outside without a jacket. The grass is getting green. The trees are budding neon-like green. The pink flowering trees are simply captivating. The birds chirping as I wake up in the morning is refreshing. I'm thankful to be alive- to have sight and smell, and to soak up all that is called beautiful.

I grabbed my camera when I looked outside and saw Lewis playing with Rusty. It seemed like the clouds would open up at any minute and produce rain, but the overcast skies were inviting me outside.

Happy Friday everyone....

And here are a few pics welcoming spring...
